Dr. Alessio Pigazzi
Dr. Alessio Pigazzi, MD, PhD, FACS, is a renowned colorectal surgeon currently serving as Chief of Colorectal Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. He is highly specialized in minimally invasive techniques, including laparoscopic and robotic surgeries, particularly for complex colon, rectal, and anal cancers. Dr. Pigazzi made history by performing the world’s first robot-assisted tumor removal for rectal cancer in 2004, revolutionizing colorectal cancer treatment. His research focuses on improving recovery after cancer surgeries, combining surgery with chemotherapy, and studying the relationship between diet and cancer development.
Dr. Andrea Vidali
When chronic pelvic pain disrupts your daily life and previous treatments have failed to provide lasting relief, Dr. Andrea Vidali stands as one of the world’s most accomplished endometriosis specialists, offering hope to women who have struggled for years without answers. As an internationally recognized master endometriosis excision specialist with over 25 years of experience, Dr. Vidali has dedicated his career to treating the most complex cases while prioritizing fertility preservation through advanced surgical techniques.
Dr. Vidali founded Endometriosis Surgical Specialists International (ESSI) to bring the highest standard of endometriosis care to patients throughout New York, New Jersey, and beyond. As both a reproductive endocrinologist and reproductive immunological specialist with extensive training in minimally invasive robotic surgery, he uniquely understands how endometriosis affects fertility, pain levels, and quality of life, enabling him to provide comprehensive treatment that addresses each patient’s individual needs.
Dr. Daniel Cibulsky
Dr. Daniel Cibulsky is a board-certified OB/GYN specializing in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgery. He trained at Stamford Hospital (Columbia University affiliate) and later taught medical students and residents at Columbia and Rutgers. A certified Da Vinci surgeon and ACOG fellow, he also holds a MIGS certification from ABOG. After advanced training with Dr. Andrea Vidali, he joined ESSI in 2025 to focus on expert endometriosis care. Dr. Cibulsky is licensed in NY, NJ and is currently accepting new patients.
Dr. Jiyong Ahn
Jiyong Ahn, MD, is an interventional radiologist and venous specialist with more than 30 years of experience diagnosing and treating vein disease. He specializes in treating varicose and spider veins, chronic venous insufficiency, leg swelling, venous ulcers, and related conditions using advanced, minimally invasive techniques, including ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy and endovenous thermal ablation.
Dr. Ahn is board-certified in Diagnostic Radiology and Vascular & Interventional Radiology and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine. He earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine and completed his fellowship in Vascular & Interventional Radiology at Cornell Medical Center. Throughout his career, he has served on the faculty at Mount Sinai Medical Center and Albany Medical Center, as Chief Interventional Radiologist at White Plains Hospital, and as Head of Research & Development for Isaac Medical Device Company.
Dr. Joseph Raccuia
Dr. Joseph S. Raccuia, while primarily recognized for his expertise in general surgery and surgical oncology, also treats endometriosis, particularly its more complex forms, such as extrapelvic endometriosis. He has contributed to understanding and raising awareness around the disease through his work with organizations like Extrapelvic Not Rare, which focuses on advancing research and improving patient care for those with endometriosis outside the pelvic region. His involvement in this field, combined with his extensive surgical background, provides a comprehensive approach to managing and surgically treating endometriosis.
Dr. Mallory Stuparich

Dr. Sallie Sarrel, is a dedicated advocate for individuals with endometriosis, having lived with the condition herself for nearly two decades. She co-founded The Endometriosis Summit, the largest endometriosis-focused conference, which trains patients, practitioners, and surgeons while fostering global education and advocacy. A recognized leader in pelvic pain treatment, Sallie has lectured worldwide and published extensively on the role of the pelvic floor, bladder, and hernias in endometriosis-related pain. Certified as an athletic trainer and licensed as a physical therapist in multiple states, she continues to champion advancements in endometriosis care.
Emanuela Lazzaroni Tealdi
Emanuela Lazzaroni-Tealdi is a reproductive biologist and senior embryologist with nearly twenty years of experience in leading U.S. IVF laboratories. Trained at Eastern Virginia Medical School and shaped by roles at NYU, CHR, and top New York fertility centers, she brings deep scientific expertise and a clear, evidence-based approach to patient support.
As Director of Support & Medical Education at ESSI, she guides patients through endometriosis, infertility, and immune-related reproductive challenges, helping them understand embryo development, IVF outcomes, PGT results, cycle strategy, and how endometriosis or adenomyosis may influence fertility before and after surgery.
A Certified Trauma Support Specialist (CTSS) and dedicated advocate, she combines scientific clarity with trauma-informed communication, ensuring that complex information is accessible, accurate, and empowering for patients worldwide.
