ESSI Announces Partnership with SHRO for Elite Translational Gynecology Program
At Endometriosis Surgical Specialists International (ESSI), our mission has always been to push the boundaries of women’s health. Today, we are deeply honored to announce a landmark collaboration with the prestigious Sbarro Health Research Organization (SHRO) and Fondazione Noopolis to support their groundbreaking Translational Gynecology Training Program.
For decades, women’s health has been dangerously under-researched, resulting in a devastating “valley of death” between scientific discovery and clinical application. This incredible fellowship is designed to bridge that gap. By combining hands-on surgical training with advanced molecular medicine and artificial intelligence, this program cultivates the next generation of true physician-scientists.

A Global Journey of Innovation
The Translational Gynecology Program is an immersive, multi-city experience designed to equip Italian physicians with the tools to decode complex diseases like endometriosis.

Philadelphia, PA (Temple University/SHRO): An intensive four-week immersion (April 6 – May 1, 2026) focusing on the hallmarks of cancer, synthetic lethality, gene editing, and hands-on AI in healthcare.

New York, NY: Clinical translation and OR visits, where ESSI is proud to collaborate and share our expertise in advanced endometriosis excision.

Costiera Amalfitana, Italy: The prestigious SHRO Gala in June 2026 to celebrate these exceptional scholars.
The spring agenda is rigorous. During their time in Philadelphia, scholars will engage in deep-dive sessions on molecular medicine, cell culturing, methodology in clinical research, and the critical integration of AI in healthcare.
