One Year of ESSI: A Note of Gratitude from Our Team
They say that if you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.
One year ago, we launched Endometriosis Surgical Specialists International (ESSI) with a singular, ambitious vision: To create a global standard of care for endometriosis that didn’t just exist in one city or one surgeon’s mind, but as a collective force.
We believed that patients deserved more than a solo doctor. They deserved a team. They deserved a liver surgeon for diaphragmatic disease, a neurogyneologist for sciatic pain, a robotic expert for fibroids, and reproductive immunologists for fertility—all under one roof.
Today, as we celebrate our 1st Anniversary, we are humbled by how far that vision has come.
What We Are Thankful For
As we look back on the last 12 months, our hearts are full. Here is what we are celebrating today:
1. The “Dream Team” Assembled We are incredibly thankful for the world-class experts who joined this mission. We proved that to treat a whole-body disease, you need a whole-body team.

The Fertility & REI Specialists: For bridging the critical gap between the operating room and the IVF lab, ensuring fertility is preserved, not sacrificed.

2. Growing to Reach You We started with a vision in New York, but pain knows no geography. In just one year, we have expanded to Hoboken, NJ, Miami, FL, and Orange County, California, ensuring that patients on both coasts (and everywhere in between) have access to expert excision without compromising on quality.
3. The Trust of Our Patients To the thousands of women who walked through our doors this year: Thank you. Thank you for trusting us with your bodies, your fertility, and your stories. Whether you traveled from down the street or from across the ocean, your resilience fuels us. You are the reason we wake up early and stay late. You are the reason we fight insurance companies and challenge outdated medical dogmas.
4. Moving the Science Forward We are proud that ESSI is not just a clinic; it is a hub of innovation. From publishing data on new uterine-sparing procedures to advancing the conversation on Silent Endometriosis and fertility, we are committed to proving that “better” is possible through data and research.
Our Promise for Year 2
We are just getting started. In our second year, we promise to continue pushing the boundaries of what is possible in endometriosis care. We will continue to advocate for you when the medical system doesn’t. We will continue to refine our techniques to make surgery safer and recovery faster.
And most importantly, we will continue to listen.
